How to calculate pallet capacity
The diagram shows:
1 bay of pallet racking
4 levels of pallet racking
(3 beam levels plus ground)
8 pallet locations in total. The total must include the ground locations.
This final figure (8 pallet locations) is the one we need on the enquiry form.​
Terminology
Pallet location > space for one pallet

Beam level > a pair of beams typically supporting 2 or 3 pallets
​
Bay > a pair of frames supporting multiple beam levels
​
Row > a series of adjacent bays forming a single run of racking
​
Back to back row > 2 rows positioned back to back
